Rajouri July 01:–Active cases have drastically decreased in the Rajouri district for the last more than10 days, however, the positivity rate is still 2.75% (overall).
Extensive vaccination drive is going on in the district and is in full swing with 97.64 percent of the above 45 age group has been vaccinated so far while 100% and 97.45% vaccination target has been achieved as far as health care and front line workers respectively are concerned.
Out of 137 areas declared continent zones during the second wave, there are still 43 continent zones in the district
Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Shavan has appealed to the people and the stakeholders to continue following Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) strictly.
Recovery rate in the district rises to 98.5% while out of total tests conducted during the second wave, 6841 active positive cases were detected and 150 are still active and are under isolation in the hospitals, homes, and Panchayat CCCs.
Out of 35 under treatment in various hospitals, 35 are in GMC hospital Rajouri & 4 in an Army hospital while out of 2221 reports received today, 7 persons were tested positive.
Joint efforts made by the health, civil and police administrations have yielded better results in the containment of Covid-19 in the district.
Meanwhile Dr. Shamim Un Nisa, Chief Medical Officer has directed all the Block Medical Officers (6 Health Blocks in Rajouri district) to enhance RAT and RT-PCR sampling i.e minimum 350 RATs and 100 RT-PCRs per day per block.
The matter of low sampling has been viewed seriously by Financial Commissioner Health & Family Welfare during the recent review meeting related to Rajouri district.

Rajouri July 01:– In a bid to recognise the noble and righteous services of doctors, Indian Army celebrated Doctors day at Thanamandi by facilitating local doctors of the area.
Jul 1″ is celebrated throughout India as Doctors day in honour Chandra Roy, legendary physician and second chief minister of West Bengal. Dr. BC Roy was born on 01 Jul 1882 and passed away on the same day in 1962. Doctors at Thanamandi participated the event with zeal & enthusiasm, A two minutes silence was observed to pay tribute to the COVID warriors who laid down their lives during the pandemic. Dr. Ghulam, Dr. Archana, Dr. Neha, Dr. Sadia and Dr. Mohd Ajaz Qureshi was participate to the event and were felicitation.Doctor’s form the backbone of the medical fraternity spectrum. They form an inevitable and irreplaceable part of everyone’s lives. This is an ideal day for all of us to pay tribute to the doctors and appreciate their ability to comfort and heal. The celebration of National Doctor’s day is a humble gesture from our end to thank our doctors for their relentless services to the community.

Bunjwah Youth Association holds protest demonstrations and submitted charter of demands to Tehsildar Bunjwah.
BUNJWAH JULY 01:–The youth Bunjwah under the banner of Bunjwah Youth Association today holds protest demonstrations against the failure of the government regarding the fulfillment and redressal of their genuine demands.
The BYA raised slogans against the administration demanding early blacktopping of Bunjwah road i.e Dunadi Bunjwah Kewapull Kither and Tipri Patnazi road, construction of health infrastructure at PHC Nali and shortage of medical staff, Non-functioning of BDO Office from block headquarter Bujwah, early starting of work over Electricity receiving station Bunjwah, maintenance, and restoration of old pipelines in Jal Shakti department, starting f community classes in Bunjwah and mobile network issues in Bunjwah.
A representation was submitted before Tehsildar Bunjwah for redressal of genuine issues of Bunjwah. The BYA members warn the administration for early redressal of demands otherwise a strong protest demonstration will be observed and Batote Kishtwar National Highway will be blocked and district administration will be responsible for the same.
The Executive members of the Bunjwah Youth Association including Ashiq Wani, Mohd Ashraf Wani, Athar Butt, Ram Singh Surmal, Tasheen Hussain, Sunil Kumar, Basharat Sofi, Zulafkar Ali, Rohit Kumar, Shahi Mir, Ashwani Kumar were present on the occasion. -
Chairman Mooj kasheer welfare trust greets Doctors fraternity on the National Doctors day.
Srinagar July 01 :–Chairman Mooj kasheer welfare trust hailed doctors on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day today. Members across the spectrum sent their greetings to all members of the medical fraternity for rendering a great service to the nation.
The National Doctors’ Day is observed on July 1 every year to commemorate the life and times of legendary doctor and former West Bengal CM Bidhan Chandra Roy, whose birth and death anniversaries both fall on this day. Dr Roy was born on July 1, 1882, and died on July 1, 1962.
The day is celebrated all over the country to honour the contributions of the doctors. The first National Doctor’s day was observed in 1991.
On the occasion, chairman also sent his greetings to the medical.
