    Govt Suspends SSP Ramesh Kumar Bhat Pending Enquiry

    Srinagar, June 21 Jammu and Kashmir government on Monday suspended a Senior Superintendent of Police, pending enquiry, officials said.

    “Pending enquiry into his conduct, Ramesh Kumar Bhat (JKPS:1999), Senior Superintendent of Police, presently attached in the Home Department, is hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect, in terms of Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956,” reads a government order issued by Principal Secretary Home, Shaleen Kabra.

JCB/Poclain extract the material from the rivers and leaves behind the deap trenches causing dozens of death during last couple of years. It is also causing huge damage to the ecology, aquatic life, irrigation, agriculture, environment etc.

    2014 flash flood, may repeate but with more disastrous consequences, if it is not stopped at this point of time.

    Community classes begin in district Ramban to reach out to students lacking digital access

    RAMBAN, JUNE 21:- The Education Department Ramban has started community classes in addition to the online classes to reach out all 32000 students of government schools in absence of the physical class work which has been suspended due to Covid pandemic.

    The initiative of community classes has been taken in compliance to an order issued by the Government recently.

    The move has been taken to cater to the Educational/Academic needs of about 20000 students, who remained left out/inaccessible in online mode of study due to one reason or the other.

    It will benefit the students of poor and digitally ignorant families residing in far flung areas of the district.

    As per the Chief Education Officer, Ramban, the teachers have been asked to take the community classes in open while strictly adhering to the Covid-19 appropriate behaviour. The teachers shall manage and conduct the community classes in their areas of residence or posting whichever is feasible.

    Meanwhile, an online meeting regarding the management of community classes was held by CEO Ramban. The meeting was attended by ZEOs, ZNOs, CNOs besides DNO Online classes & DRGs, and other senior officers of the Department to discuss the strategies for conduct and monitoring mechanism of community classes in the district.

    The meeting supported the initiative and vowed to make it a success by putting in extra efforts.

    Sheikh Aqeel Ahmed said about himself that he does twenty to twenty five minutes of yoga every morning which has had a positive impact on his life and has brought him extraordinary benefits.
    Sheikh Aqeel Ahmed said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that yoga takes us from stress to strength and negativity to positive attitude and creativity is the best definition of yoga. The Director of National Council for Development of Urdu Language said that under the leadership of Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank ji, NCPUL will publish books written on Yoga in Urdu language to carry forward this important heritage of India and make the entire Urdu world aware of Yoga.     Poonch June 21: The Department of Computer Science of Government Degree College Poonch in collaboration with Sheikh’s Computer Association Technology Poonch and Attitude Change International Dharhal Malkan, J&K, held an International Webinar on “Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Covid-19” here today.

    Principal of College Prof. Mussaraf Hussain Shah presided over this one-day International Webinar in which six resource persons, three from abroad and three from India gave deliberations on the different aspects of ICT during the covid-19 pandemic.

    In his welcome address, Prof. Mussaraf Hussain Shah highlighted the role of ICT especially during the challenging times of Covid-19 pandemic. He appraised the role of ICT in continuing the life when physically the world was caged in homes and expressed hope how judicial use of technology can contribute towards attaining quality education and transforming lives.

    Dr. M. Tanveer, Associate Professor & Ramanujan Fellow, Department of Mathematics IIT Indore delivered the keynote address on Machine Learning & Applications to Biomedical Data. In another keynote address Dr. Mohana Kumar Patel Associate Professor University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU) Bengaluru detailed about Metabolite Imaging of Medicinal Plants.

    Other resource persons who delivered lead lectures were Dr. Christian Bartolf, President Gandhi Information Centre Berlin, Germany who gave presentation on Preliminary Thoughts on Mahatma Gandhi & ICT, Dr. Muneer Karama, Assistant Professor, Department of Applied Maths, Palestine Polytechnic University, Hebron, Palestine spoke on Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) and the Ministry of Telecom and Information Technology, Dr. Waziri Garba Dahiru Associate Professor Department of Pathology College of Medical Sciences Ahmedu Bello University Zaira, Nigeria deliberated upon ICT & Covid-19 in Africa: Challenges & opportunities, whereas Dr. Mudasir Manzoor Kirmani Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist Department of computer science SKAUST-Kashmir, delivered talk on ICT & Digital Learning.

    Dr. Umend Malik Associate Professor, from Haryana, Sarshad Hussain, Assistant Professor & Head Department of Zoology GDC Surankote, Dr. Namita Singh Assistant Professor Computer Science Govt. MAM PG College Jammu, Mrs Roopali Jamwal Head Department of Computer Science Govt. College of Women Prade, Jammu, Waseem Akram Assistant Professor & Head Department of Computer Science, GDC Mendhar also gave their reflections about the relevance of organising this international event.

    Rajouri June 21 :-Mawya Sudan from Lamberi village has become the second woman officer from Rajouri district of J&K to join the Indian Armed Forces after Waheeda Prism Khan.
    Mawya Sudan has become a ‘fighter pilot’ of the Indian Air Force while Waheeda Prism Khan had joined the Navy
    Wahida Prism Khan, resident of Thanamandi town is one of five siblings of late Gulzar Ahmed teacher (who was killed by the militants inside the school in 2001) had joined the Indian Navy as Naval Surgeon and had become the first woman to command the annual parade at the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune.
    Mawya Sudan is a younger daughter (two sisters) of Sushma and Vinod Sudan, Junior Engineer posted to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) at Katra.
    The family originally belongs to Plandri in PoJK and after migration in 1947 had settled in Lamberi village in Nowshera sub-district.
    In 2003 Vinod Sudan decided to shift to Jammu and presently the family is living in Sainik Colony and occasionally visits Lamberi.
    Mawya Sudan had her pre-primary school education at Lamberi and passed 10th class from Carmel School at Kunjwani (Jammu).
    She passed 11th & 12th class from the JK Public School and pursued her graduation from the DAV MCM College at Chandigarh.
    “When she was eight years old, she would like to see the planes in the sky and since then Manwa were inclined towards becoming a pilot” said Vinod Sudan.
    After her graduation, Mawya joined Post Graduation in Defence Studies but soon she cleared the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT -2019) and in December 2020 she left for her training.
    Mawya Sudan is the 12th woman Indian Air Force Officer in the country.
    Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria reviewed the ‘combined graduation passing out parade held at the Air Force Academy at Dundigal in Hyderabad.
    “Since her childhood, Mawya’s dream was to become a fighter pilot and for that, she focused on her target. She is nature-loving and spends most of her time reading books & was raised as a strong and independent thinker,” said Mawya’s father Vinod Sudan
