Despite strict Covid Curfew restrictions the number of active cases has reached 3412 and the death toll reached 139 till Monday.
Out of 8182 positive cases detected in the district 4631 were tested negative, including 98 today, and have recovered while 3286 samples were lifted today during aggressive tracing & testing of immediate contacts of the active cases.
The main reason behind rise in deaths due to Covid is that the people hiding their symptoms, especially to avoid isolation in the hospital, and approaching the hospital only after acute respiratory distress syndrome.

An old woman died today at home in the Kandi health block. On getting information a health team rushed to the village and found the woman active Covid patient.
During the sampling of the family/relatives, her brother was also found positive while both were not in the record of the health department.
