Rajouri April 11:–Remaining suspended for two days due to non-availability, the Covid-19 vaccination will be resumed from 10 am on Monday in Rajouri district.
“Consignment of the vaccine has reached at the district level store at Rajouri on Saturday night and was distributed further to all the 6 Block Medical Officers as per their requirements” said an official.
Ramadan, the holy month of fasting, is likely to start from April 13 and it is expected that very few people will come forward for the vaccination in Muslim dominated health blocks including Kandi, Darhal, Manjakot, and Kalakot.
Reliable sources said the instructions have been issued to the health authorities to put tents for the vaccination outside all the banks in the district to achieve the vaccination target, which, according to sources is already below the target set by the DDC to vaccinate at least 5000 persons per day in the district.
In case of anonymity, a senior health official said that it is neither feasible nor practical to put the vaccination tent outside the banks.
“As per Government of India’s guidelines at least three rooms required for, nomination vaccination and post-vaccination observation” said sources.
Keeping in view the increasing number of Covid positive patients, health authorities have reviewed the measures for the re-functioning of Covid Care Centre at Nagrota.
