    Srinagar, February 07: Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today criticised the authorties for slapping FIR against a person for demanding body of his son.

    Mehbooba in a tweet said, ” After losing his son in an alleged fake encounter, Athar Mushtaq’s father has been slapped with an FIR for demanding his dead body. His crime was to stage a peaceful protest. The inhabitants of Naya Kashmir can’t even question a callous admin & have been reduced to living corpses.”

    Rajouri,February,07: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Rajesh K Shavan today resolved a long pending issue of ZEO office building at Baljaralan.

    The Chief Education Officer informed that prior to 2007,the ZEO office Baljarala was functioning in a Government building at Dhangri but due to some dispute,the said office was shifted to a rented building at Badhon. The rent of the building was accessed time to time but the owner of the building was not satisfied with the rent assessed, so the Education Department had tried to shift the office to ZRC Dhangri; is but the owner of the private building was reluctant to get the office shifted to the Government building.


    Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Rajesh K Shavan when he came to know about the issue, immediately deputed the Chief Education Officer along with Tehsildar Rajouri,Mohd Rafeeq on the spot with the instructions to get the office shifted to the Government building already available at Dhangri.

    The officers acted accordingly and all the documents and furniture were immediately shifted to the new building and the office was inaugurated by the Chief Education Gulzar Hussain.

    However the landlord who is reportedly an advocate has been assured by the Deputy Commissioner that his issue regarding the payment of the rent for his building shall be settled.

    Rajouri February 07 :–Concerned Tehsildars have seized (reportedly stopped operation temporarily) more than 20 stone crushers in the entire Rajouri district on the directions from Deputy Commissioner reportedly after several complaints of illegal mining.


    Important to mention in the month of January, Rajouri police in association with Geology & Mining Department had seized several vehicles for illegal mining from river beds using heavy machinery.


    Seven stone crushers are operational in Chingus-Kallar area in Rajouri tehsil while about 8 are in Sunderbani ,Siot & Nowshera tehsils, one each in Kalakot & Beripattan, Khawas, Manjakot tehsils, 3 in Darhal tehsil & two in Kotranka tehsil.
    For the last many years inhabitants of several areas have also been complaining about the illegal operation of many crushers near human inhabitations causing pollution & other problems.
    But no concrete action was taken in this matter by the concerned authorities.


    After directions from DC, Tehsildars concerned have seized stone crushers in Nowshera, Sunderbani, Rajouri, Manjakot Khawas, Koternaka, Beripattan, Darhal tehsils.


    “The stone crushers have been seized (operation temporarily suspended) for the verifications of the permissions/ documents” said Tehsildar, Rajouri.
    “The action against the crushers was taken after some complaints” said Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Deputy Commissioner.
    He refused to divulge more details and said: “More details and action will be shared after verifications of the documents”.(2)…
    In a joint meeting with the district officers and BRO functionaries, Deputy Commissioner (DC) has directed the BRO authorities to ensure the maintenance of the roads under their supervision.
    Rajesh Kumar Shavan, DC, said that several public complaints have been received about the dilapidated condition of the roads under BRO. Especially Rajouri-Thanamandi road is in worst condition at present.

    Earlier DC had directed the BRO to start construction work on Thanamandi-Rajouri road without an further delay.
    DC directs the BRO authorities to erect crash barriers along both sides of this road and forest/horticulture departments for plantation.
    Assistant Commissioner Revenue was directed for the demarcation of this road and concerned BRO authorities were asked to clear pendency in terms of the awards of the villagers at the earliest.

    Jammu , February 07: An educational conference was organized by Rahbar-e- taleem Teachers forum(JKRETTF) in Jamboo lochan Hall Jammu in which forum leaders and teachers from the maximum districts of Jammu and Kashmir participated.


    The event was presided over by Forum Chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantray where as the senior trade union leader and LOPAID employees Federation president Ab Majeed khan was present as guest of honour in the function.


    During the function District presidents and other speakers expressed their views on compensating the educational losses of the children in the schools reopened after covid 19 . Forum Chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantray said that after a gap of about a year, schools are about to resume in the country and most of the children from poor families are getting education in government schools .He said many children in rural areas do not have access to smartphones and Not being able to take advantage of on line classes .He said that compensating the educational losses incurred to children during the covid is not less than a challenge for the teachers . He urged the forum leaders to provide education in their respective districts with full swing and Co-operate with the officers of the department in the education zones to compensate for their losses. He urged to use all resources and experience to carry out your duties .he added that the future of the children of a poor class of the nation lies with the teachers in government schools and it is the responsibility of all of us to save this future. He said that the teachers posted under the Rahbar-e- taleem Scheme are working in the primary and middle level government schools and we all have to make a commitment to provide better and quality education to the children studying in these schools. On this occasion, Senior vice Chairperson of the Forum Neenu Lata, General Secretary Jahangir Alam Khan besides District Presidents Sheikh Pervez, Farooq Ahmed Itoo, Intikhab Alam, Hafeez Butt, Ishaq Rasheed, Hamid Nabaz, Raina Muzaffar Apart from Saeed Mukhtiar Qadri, Apex members Shakeel Ahmad Zohad, Javed Gul,Mushtaq Malik, MM pathan, Muzafar Masroor, Suhail, Javeed chohan, Tariq Ahmed,and others also participated and expressed their views.
