    Twitterati hails Aijaz Asad as Power-man of Kashmir

    IAS officer Mohammad Aijaz Asad known for his people friendly approach, innovation and hard work has been hailed as “Power-man of Kashmir” for maintaining smooth power supply and speedy redressal of power related public grievances during ongoing harsh winter spells this year. Mr Aijaz is presently Managing Director of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Ltd(KPDCL). Prominent citizens and youth from across Kashmir valley have been seen pouring admiration for good work done by him and his team in the Power sector in Kashmir.


    Few days ago Mayor of Srinagar in his tweet said: Brilliant job done by KPDCL and PDD yet again. Kudos!


    Raja Jehangir wrote today from his Twitter handle: “You have been a phenomenon Sir. Really appreciate what u r doing. Stay blessed”.
    In Another tweet Sheikh Imran wrote: On behalf of people of ISHBER NISHAT I am thankful &grateful to @AsadmAijaz for replacing &installing transformer in a record time, we know Despite your huge work pressures you are a star performer & #Barf aur #Bijli is possible only because of you. You are our “POWERMAN”. He continued: Once again thank you @AsadmAijaz I am happy to post the video of installation of transformer in a Record time by none other than our own “ #POWERMAN “ @AsadmAijaz you made people happy, may Allah give you all the hapiness.

    Weeks back prominent political leader Abid Ansari tweeted: My gratitude to @AsadmAijaz for
    renovating the dilapidated 630 kva substation at Kralpora (Hawal). This was a long pending request of the locals as the old substation was posing a threat to the lives of the residents.
    Another youth Muhammad Yasir said on Twitter: “Perhaps this is the first time people have started to feel the difference,because of honest men like you put incharge. A big thank you”.


    Prominent Journalists of Kashmir valley also hailed KPDCL for quick restoration of Power Supply in Kashmir valley especially during the recent spells of snowfall.


    One journalist wrote: “To be honest, performance of PDD was outstanding this time despite heavy snowfall in Kashmir Valley. Power dept restored electricity very quickly not only in Srinagar but in other Districts also. Power failures were almost negligible in Srinagar and other major towns. No Crisis”.
    Managing Director Mr Aijaz Asad himself tweeted on 07/01/2012 during the major spell of snowfall:
    “Power Load supplied in Kashmir Valley at the moment is 1311 MW. It is to put on record that 1080 MW has been restored in just 12 hours. Let’s give a big applause to each Lineman, each PDL/TDL, each Technician and each & every Field staff!

    In another message from his personal twitter handle on 23/01/2021 at 9:00 pm he mentioned: The figure for the served Load in Kashmir valley crossed 1350 MW a while ago. 90% System Load restored in just four and half hours. Teams still on job at several places in North, South and Central Kashmir. We are there to serve you to our best.
    Mr Aijaz is first MD of KPDCL post unbundling of erstwhile JKPDD. He has been seen on ground leading from the front during winter especially in the spells of snowfall for quick restoration of Power supply. He has often been seen encouraging and admiring good work of his field teams.

A Rally which was started from Tehsil office and culminated near main chowk of Thannamandi in which sub Divisional civil and police officers Muncipal President along with Tehsildar Thannamandi were present there. SDM Thannamandi Dr Zakir Hussain address the gathering this rally to include new voters and a rally of students and prominent councellors was also organised in thannamandi which is a national programme.

    Jammu January 25:– At the time when Prime Minister Narender Modi claims the digitalization of modern India and 100% electrification of electricity across Jammu and Kashmir and announced National Award for Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department in 2019, some villages of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory in Kishtwar district still have a dream to see the electric blub lightening in their homes.
    It may sound strange but its fact and factual that Kither Buddhar villagers in Bunjwah region of Kishtwar District are yet deprived of basic facilities in this modern era when the man is landing on moon. The villages in Bunjwah Tehsil including Buddhar, Qurar, Hiwan, Naga, Kither and its adjoining areas having population of more than 5000 souls among which 1500 are students, have not yet seen the electricity in this modern era.
    A local resident of village Kither Sadam Hussain informed that, We are being deprived of our basic rights and it is very tough for we students to continues our studies as there is non-availability of electricity. Adding that we are not financially sound to manage our all dues to use Solar panels/ invertors for generation of electricity.
    Another resident Mohd Yaqoob from Know Buddhar said, that hundred times we made the pleas since from 2002, before the concerned authorities and even the pleas were made before concerned authorities but no one pays heed toward this serious issue.
    Meanwhile A renowned Social Activist Ashiq Wani said that, the region is unelectrified since from independence despite the 33KV line has been installed to Kither a year ago and till day the residents are dreaming to see the electric blub lightening in their homes. Adding that this is grass injustice done with residents of Kither and Buddhar area. He further added that various times the issue was raised before PMO Office Minister Dr. Jatinder Singh, Chief Ministers of the than State Jammu and Kashmir including Ghulam Nabi Azad, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and all Ministers holding charges of Power Development Departments of Jammu and Kashmir but unfortunately the plea falls on deaf ears and blind eyes and yet the electricity became a distant dream. Adding that the tendering process was floated by RGGVY, DDU-GKY and Shalaka Companies since from last few years but till day no work came to be seen on ground.


    The residents alleged the negligence of all political representatives toward Bunjwah villages since from independence as during elections these leaders shows moon stars to voters. The residents of these villages had demanded intervention of LG Manoj Sinha to personally intervene in this matter and direct concerned authorities for electrifying the Kither Buddhar area on fast track basis soas public shall take sigh of relief.

    Rajouri January 25:–April 2020 all employees registered under Jammu and Kashmir centralised personnel information system JKCPIS and salaries of all employees of the above mention system being also drawn properly but unfortunately after assuming the chair of new Zonal Education officer Rajouri the said office started the new registration of the all employees under the same system like Jammu and Kashmir centralised personnel information system JKCPIS once again and collected five hundered from the every employees as bribe


    In this act the employees of the said department has been harased by some employees working in ZEO office Rajouri official sources revealed.
    When GNS ONLINE contacted to Chief Education Officer Rajouri regarding the matter he told that I have received the said complaint and I have verified the matter and I also directed to said officials that if any complaint came in my notice once again I will lodge an FIR against those who involved in such practices he added…
