Jammu January 17:– The I Can Foundation India honoured Shafqat Sheikh of Bunjwah Kishtwar with Humanity Excellency Award 2020, for his selfless outstanding performance, commitment, honesty, compassion and inspiration for exemplifying with humanitarian works toward mankind and human welfare overall across the society.
The award was received via Registered Post along with Certificate of Appreciation and Medal.
Shafqat was one among 51 personalities across India who got this prestigious “Award of the Year 2020” for his tireless efforts in raising the voice of poor and downtrodden masses.

Mandi, January 17:– Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha released the book titled “Animal Diversity”authored by Dr. Shamim Ahmed Banday at Raj Bhavan, here. He complimented the author for his publication and hoped that the book helps the ambitious and aspiring students all over Jammu and Kashmir and rest of India.Dr. Shamim Ahmed Banday said, This book has been written to bring all the relevant information on various aspects of animal diversity in a single volume.Our aim is to provide the student a content base relevant material according to their need.Therefore, this book helps them in their studies.The structuring of the book simplifies comprehensive understanding of all key concepts like structural organisation in animals,general principles of systematics and classification.The basic features of each phylum are discussed using examples, along with evolutionary relationships among other group members.It is well prepared for the fundamental aspects on “Animal Diversity” designed for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses of various universities.
