Srinagar, Jan 06: The PDP on Wednesday paid rich tributes to its party founder Late Mufti Mohammad Sayed on his fifth death anniversary. It is pertinent to mention here that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed died on January 07, 2016 at AIIMS hospital in New Delhi after brief illness.

Senior party Leader Rouf Bhat said Late Mufti Sayed was a Visionary and the most popular Leader of our times who had massive following from all the three regions of our state.
In a condolence meeting held at Srinagar, Rouf Bhat underlined that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed reignited the hope for peaceful Jammu and Kashmir as he took several steps to bring lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
Healing touch policy was one such CBM and history is witness that this particular policy gave much needed respite to the bruised people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Mufti sahab had a dream of seeing the South Asia as a most progressive and devloped place in the World and he wanted to see Kashmir serve as a bridge between India and Pakistan.
While he was alive he made every possible effort in that direction, needless to say it was during his tenure only that Kashmir witnessed the most peaceful times after decades of mayhem and violence. Mufti Sahab made sure peace and development remains an inseparable feature of our unfortunate state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Rouf Bhat Stressed on the need to realise the unfulfilled mission of Mufti sahab under the dynamic leadership of Mehbooba Mufti and urged people to strengthen the party at all levels.
