    Don’t spread misinformation, you are under surveillance: Dr Sehrish Asgar

    Srinagar: Director Information & Public Relation Dr Sehrish Asgar on Saturday warned elements using social media apps for rumor mongering and said all users are under surveillance and no one is excluded. She appealed people to come out of their homes only in case of exigency.

    Talking to JKNS Dr Sehrish said several elements using social media apps are spreading unrecognized information among masses and creating problems in the work of administration while dealing current situation.

    “Those run unrecognized and fake WhatsApp groups to spread misinformation among masses are creating problems for administration. Such elements should keep it in their mind that all users are under surveillance and no one is excluded so disseminating any unfounded news among masses will lead to tough action against such elements”, Dr Sehrish warned.

    She said, “If such elements don’t mend their ways, they can be booked under law”.

    Rajouri,April,11:In a fight against the corona virus situation,the Rotary Club Rajouri have joined hands with District Administration Rajouri by providing Masks N95,Triple layer masks, Sanitizers, Examination gloves, Shoe cover and Cap disposables.

    The Rotary Club Rajouri handed over the material to Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Nazir Sheikh for further distribution among the health workers of the district.

    Among the others,Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Sher Singh,District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, Bilal Mir, President Rotary Club Rajouri, Haqeeqat Singh Isher and Assistant Governor Rotary Club Rajouri, Ashish Langer, Secretary Rotary club,Rafiq Mir and member Rashid Khan.

    Rtn Ashish Langer of Rotary club said, “We have already provided sufficient no PPE kits to the medical team and shall be providing masks,sanitizers and other essentials items to the health workers through district Administration Rajouri”. He said we get to know that there is a shortage of PPE kits, masks, Surgical Disposables and sanitisers in the civil hospitals thus we decided to provide some to health workers who are fighting against corona pandemic from the front and are prone to infection.

    He informed that 2000 triple layer masks,100 N95 Masks,700 Senitizers bottles,1000 Examination gloves,500 Shoe covers and 500 disposable caps have been handed over to District Administration for further distribution among the health workers.

    Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh expressed his gratitude to the Rotary Club Rajouri for providing their assistance to the district administration in combating COVID19 and said that although the district administration is working 24/7 for the welfare of the common masses but the active cooperation of the social organisations with the district administration is a must during this period of CoronaVirus pandemic to make it sure that the required basic facilities can be provided to the general public without any delay so that they don’t get panicked.

    Khoj website also launched for travellers, students who are yet to report travel history

    Rajouri,April,11: To facilitate the patients,stranded passangers of the district,employees and to mitigate their sufferings during the lockdown announced following the CoronaVirus pandemic,the district administration Rajouri on Saturday launched Epass service.

    It is pertinent to mention here that district administration Rajouri has already taken a number of measures to ensure the convenience of the patients during the lockdown period and all necessary medicare facilities are being provided to them in a hassle free manner and without any delay.

    While speaking on the occasion,the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh said that any patient/stranded passangers/Employees who are in need of restriction pass can apply online on www.epassrajouri.nic.net.in for E-Pass from his/her mobile or computer.

    He added that citizens need to enter the mobile number for registration on which an OTP shall be sent for authentication. The personal details of the patient will have to be filled in along with uploading the Photo ID proof,other valid documents required and the copy of the Doctor’s prescription.

    The confirmation message will be sent on registered mobile numbers and Email Ids.

    He said that the district administration Rajouri is working in a nonstop manner to ensure essential medicare facilities are provided to the general public especially the COVID patients in the district so that their sufferings can be mitigated.

    Moreover the District Administration Rajouri also launched the website, titled Khooj,in an effort to trace out those students and travelers who have arrived in the district from outside and have not reported their travel history.

    The website provides options of “self report” and “report about others.”The website can be accessed on www.khojcovidrajouri.nic.in

    While speaking the Deputy Commissioner said,“Students and Travellers having travel history of Covid-19 affected countries and other affected areas of the country who have not declared their travel history till date must report their travel history to local health authorities/COVID-19 helpline Numbers or through this WebsiteImmediately, ”

    He further said,“Family members, neighbours and people in general are appealed to bring such cases in notice of the administration through this Website and help the District Administration in breaking the chain of COVID-19.

    Both these webites have been developed by NIC Rajouri under the overall of District Informatics Officer,Muzafar Mir.

    Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Sher Singh,District Statistical and Evaluation Officer,Bilal Rashid Mir,Assistant Commissioner Development,Sushil Khajuria and District Panchayat Officer,Dr.Abdul Khabir were present on the occasion.

    Jammu 11 Apr :……The philanthropic organization Global Peace Foundation from Jammu and Kashmir distributed ration and essentials among the slum dwellers and among migrant labourers in and around the Jammu city after the Covid-19 pandemic hit the world leaving millions of labourers jobless and on the brink of starvation.

    The government has introduced multitude of measures to provide relief to the poor people but sudden lockdown has stuck millions of people at different places under work and unpaid for weeks together now.

    In these crisis Non Governmental Organizations have come forward to the rescue of the people, who are providing rations and essentials to these people.

    Global Peace Foundation has been continuously providing ration and other essentials since day one specifically targeting slum dwellers and rag picker shanties who are worst effected in the pendemic. The areas covered are around Channi Rama, Himmat and other areas around the peripheries of Jammu City.
    While talking to the volunteers, they said that they have been doing all from the members contribution itself in small amounts to manage the all essentials. Besides the volunteers of the organization also provided masks and sanitizers to Police, Security personnel’s, Municipal employees and other front line workers across Doda and Kishtwar district.
