    POONCH March 16:- Today on directions of SSP poonch Romesh Angral (JKPS) regarding awareness on COVID -19 (Corona virus pendemic) an awareness programme was held at mankote.

    SDPO mendher Neeraj Padyar and SHO mendher Tahir Khan makes people aware about the precaution and preventive measure to be taken and medical protocol to be follow in case of any suspicion due to COVID -19 viral infection.

    The progrmme was attended by sarpanches /panches/ lamabardaar and respectable of the mankote/sagra/dabraj/uchaad/ and other adjoining villages of sub-divison mendher.

    Rajouri,March 16:- A Facebook user have been booked by Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri for posting sensitive remarks on the social media platform.

    A senior police officer said that a case in FIR 133/2020 under section 153-A have been registered in police station Rajouri.

    He said that case have been registered and investigation have been started into the matter.

    Police officer also appealed people to use social media in a cautious manner and to refrain from any sensitive posts that can pose harm to the peaceful atmosphere.

    Rajouri,March 16:District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Monday evening paid a visit to Rajouri market to take stock of the overall situation of the market in view of the spread of the Corona Virus infection across the globe.

    DDC was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandan Kohli, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh, Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri, Mohammad Zubair, Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed, Assistant Director FCs&CA, Mukhtar Ahmed Lone, Tehsildar Rajouri, Sheraz Chowhan and other concerned officers.

    During his visit the DDC interacted with the general public in the market and urged upon them to spread awareness regarding the Corona Virus infection in the society so that the general public is saved from this deadly virus.

    He also asked them to be always in a state of alertness and take precautionary measures like wearing of face masks, avoiding crowded places,avoiding close contact with the persons who are sick,washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 minutes,cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces like tables,doorknobs,lightswitches,countertops,handles,desks,mobile phones etc.

    He also convinced them that not every similar symptom indicates the presence of Coronavirus so we have to act and react with utmost care and alertness.

    He also impressed upon the people not to panic as this not only creates a mess out of things but it lowers our presence of mind and thinking power to react properly in case of such emergencies.

    DDC asked the Senior Superintendent of Police to identify such locations in the market where there are chances of huge gathering.

    He directed the concerned officer from Municipality to maintain proper cleanliness in the town.Tehsildar Rajouri has been asked to ensure the proper display of rates of sanitizers and face masks in shops.

    In another order issued under CrPC 144, DM Rajouri has ordered shutdown of all Dhabas, Restaurants, Food Courts, Spa Centers, Saloons in the district.Alongside, organising any protest, rally, bhandara, religious congregation is also banned till further orders.

    DDC also appealed people to act cautiously in the matter and also to prefer postponement of their family functions.

    The International players meet includes Sardarni Neete Kour (International Gold Medalist in Powerlifting), Chandeep Singh (International Taekwando & Skating Player), Sharmik Mahajan (Mr Asia Silver Medalist in bodybuilding), Mitali Dogra (International Gymast also known as Wonder girl of Jammu), Shivani Charak (International Medalist ,an ace Sports climber of J&K), Monica Gupta (International Fittness Model ), Juhi Gupta (International Powerlifter) and the strong message was given by all the International Players regarding Corona Pandemic,they say ,”Eat Healthy and Stay Fit and make work out as daily part of your life to boost your immune system ”

    On this occasion French Club also felicitated Shafqat Sheikh ( Freelance Journalist / Columnist and National Awardee FMBAF Mumbai )

    The interactive session was hosted by Arushi Mahajan, Spokesperson of French Club Jammu and Ujwal Singh Rathore Team member was also present.

    The French Club Jammu Team awarded all International players with Merit Certificate as token of love and appreciation for their well contribution towards society .
