    The Outgoing SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas was accorded warm farewell by the People of Thanna Mandi. A Simple but Impressive function was Organised at Dak Bunglow Thanna Mandi by President Municipal Committe Thanna Mandi which was attended by SDM Thanna Mandi Mukhtar Shiekh Tehsildar Thanna Mandi Anjum Khan, ASP Rajouri Chowdhary Latif, SDPO Thannamandi Mr Sajjad Khan SHO Thanna Mandi Jave Malik,and Large Number of Councillors, Sarpnaches, Panches and Hundered of Prominent Locals. present on the occasion.

    AWARENESS CAMP ABOUT WOMEN CENTRIC SELF EMPLOYMENT SCHEMES ORGANISED AT DEVPORA

    SHOPIAN FEBRUARY 11: District Level Centre for Women established under Mahila Shakti Kendra Scheme is taking lead in educating rural women about various women centric self employment schemes meant for their financial empowerment. As a part of district wide campaign, the centre today organised an awareness camp at Devpora, a remote village located in the lap of Pir Panjal.

    In the largely attended camp, District Coordinators MSK Saima Khurshid and Mehvish Yaqoob apprised the ICDS officials like supervisors, Anganwari Workers and Helpers and other women about various credit linked self employment schemes. Details regarding eligibility criteria, allowed activities, project cost etc under each scheme were provided to the participants.

    The participants were made aware about benefits and eligibility criteria under schemes like Seed Capital Fund Scheme, Youth Startup Loan Scheme, Himayat Employment Scheme, Term Loan Scheme, Micro Financing Loan Scheme, Women Entrepreneurship Program besides such schemes of departments of Handloom, Handicraft, KVIC, KVIB etc.

    The participants were also informed about role of District Level Centre for Women under Mahila Shakti Kendra Scheme to identify problems faced by women while applying for various government schemes, spreading awareness about these schemes, monitoring the implementation of women related schemes and making a database of women enrolled under these schemes.

    Being the first point of contact/field workers, the ICDS officials were called upon to aware the left out women about these schemes and guide them for availing benefits entailed under these schemes.
