    MANDI, Jun 10 : Imam-o-khateeb Markazi Jamia Masjid Mandi Monday welcomed the Court verdict in rape-murder case of a child from Rassana Kathua and called it a victory of truth over falsehood.

    He called out the politicians who had tried to sabotage the investigation in the matter and gave credit to J&K Police and the Judiciary for standing their ground in-spite of the political pressure.

    He said that politicization of this rape case was one of the most horrendous and shameful incidents of our time and those people who raised the communal bogey against the victims family deserve to be condemned.

    “The role of media and activists who tirelessly built a global campaign for justice to the victim also needs to be appreciated”,Molana sayed Amin shah Gelani added.

    Udhampur:- It was a proud moment for Delhi Public School Udhampur. The inaugural ceremony of Sunrise Cricket Academy was done in the premises of the school. The Chief guest of the day was Shri Mitthoon Manhas the Ranji trophy player and currently the coach of Royal Challenger Bangalore. The Guest of the honour were Sh. Bhupinder Baghal former Ranji and Dilip trophy player and Pro-Vice Chairman of Delhi Public School Udhampur Dr. J.C Gupta. The other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Sh. Shyam lal Kalsotra (ex Vice Chairaman JKCA), Sh. Chander Mohan Sharma (ex Vice Chairaman JKCA), Mr. Guru Pratap (Former Ranji Player), Mr. Suresh Singh(Former Ranji Player) and Sh. Raj Kumar Bucha.

    The Chief Guest Mr. Mithoon Manhas congratulated team DPS, Udhampur for their extra ordinary effort in the field of sports. He said that Cricket is just not a game in India, it’s more than that and solution to the aspirations of budding Cricket player of Udhampur is this cricket academy . He extended his full support for groom kid in the field of sports and stated that stated that it the right platform to be provided by the school for the carbing the future of budding talent in right shape.
    The Pro-vice Chairman of the school Dr. J.C Gupta in his address thanked the various dignitaries for sparing their valuable time. He stated “Good players practice till they get it right but the coaches of Sunrise Cricket Academy will see that great players will practice till they never get it wrong.
    The Principal of the school Dr. Kunal Anand stated, “True batsman should in most of his strokes tell the truth about himself” and sunrise academy will make true batsman and bowlers from these young players. He wished all the budding cricketers best of luck for their future endeavors. Over all the program was a great success.

    UDHAMPUR, JUNE 10:An awareness camp under Foot & Mouth Disease-Control Programme (FMD-CP) was held by Animal Husbandry Department here at Village Lower Hartaryan.

    A large number of local farmers/people from adjoining villages participated in the Camp learnt about the disease and its control measures.

    The camp was held under the supervision of Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. Raj Kumar Gupta

    The CAHO made the farmers aware about the FMD disease in Cattle & Buffaloes. He informed the farmers that the disease is highly contagious & causes heavy losses to farmers in productivity every year if not vaccinated timely. He said that the department of Animal Husbandry has launched FMD-CP programme to control the disease, ensuring that the 100% Livestock Population (Cattle/Buffalo) is covered. He advised the farmers to get their animal vaccinated in time to avoid any future occurrence of disease. The vaccination in the district is being carried out by the Paravets/Veterinarian at field centre in a meticulous manner.

    Later, a large number of animals were vaccinated at the Camp.

    Among others, Livestock Development Officer, Udhampur & Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Jib besides Sarpanches, Panches and prominent citizen were attended the camp.

    Udhampur June 10:-District:- Legal Services Authority DLSA, Udhampur , in compliance to the directions of the Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Justice Gita Mittal, Patron-in-Chief’, J&K State Legal Services Authority (SLSA), on Monday kick started a week long campaign “Ageing With Dignity” here across the district .

    The campaign organised in collaboration with Civil administration was started under the chairmanship of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Udhampur Mohan Lal Manhas and under the overall supervision of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur , (Sub judge) Sandeep Kour .

    The campaigning programmes were planned by Mohammad Akram Choudhary, Member Secretary, J&K State Legal Services Authority, Srinagar in collaboration with Anugraha Regional Resource & Training Centre on Ageing, to address different challenges being faced by Senior Citizens.

    The District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur in collaboration with different Government departments will sensitize and aware the masses especially the elderly group about the various existing government schemes aimed at addressing the increasing needs and different challenges being faced by the senior citizens .

    Meanwhile, the District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur also organized a medical checkup camp for elderly persons at gthe District Hospital.

    The camp was inaugurated by Principal District & Session Judge Mohan Lal Manhas.

    Medical Superintendent Dr Vijay Kumar Bansotra and Physician Dr Om Kar Bhagat examine the elderly persons. A Picnic was also organized at Jakhani Park for Elderly persons of Jagriti old age home on the first day of week long campaign.

    According to Secretary DLSA Sub-Judge Sandeep Kour, the DLSA will organize painting and slogan writing competition on the theme “ageing with dignity”, walkthrough and light games, sensitization programme on fostering Intergenerational bonding, for the students of different Govt Schools in collaboration with Education Department.

    She added that these events are being organized as an endeavour to strengthen the integration between generations and to facilitate interaction between the students and youth about the various problems being faced by the elderly people and ways & methods in mitigating them.

    Srinagar, Jun 10:-Former Jammu and Kashmir chief ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti Monday welcomed a court order convicting six accused in the Kathua rape-and-murder case.

    “Amen to that. The guilty deserve the most severe punishment possible under law. And to those politicians who defended the accused, vilified the victim & threatened the legal system no words of condemnation are enough,” Abdullah tweeted.

    He was reacting to the Pathankot court verdict convicting six of the seven accused in the rape-and-murder case of the eight-year-old nomadic girl in Rasana area of Kathua district in January last year.

    “Welcome the judgement. High time we stop playing politics over a heinous crime where an 8 year old child was drugged, raped repeatedly & then bludgeoned to death. Hope loopholes in our judicial system are not exploited & culprits get exemplary punishment,” Mehbooba tweeted.

    Bureaucrat-turned-politician Shah Faesal lauded the police for securing the conviction of the accused persons.

    “Congratulations to @JmuKmrPolice for getting Raisina Kathua rapists convicted. Politicians tried their best to sabotage the movement for justice to A (the victim). But the Honble Court and the law enforcement agencies stood their ground. Pray we never have to see such horror again,” he tweeted.

    Mendhar,  (GNS): A family from Mehndar on Sunday Urged authorities to take measures to bring body of their kin who allegedly murdered by this maternal Mamu in Saudi Arabia on the night of June 2.
    Javid Iqbal, a resident of Banola Mehndar tehsil  in Poonch told GNS that his younger brother Jafar Iqbal (23) was killed on the night of Shab–E Qadr at Taif Haqeeq where he was working as labourer from last Two and Half Years.
    The Saudi authorities we are told have cracked the murder case and have arrested our maternal Mamu Siraj Din (42), Javid said, adding that another person who assisted in the murder has also been arrested and he is said to be from Pakistan.
    Javid said that Siraj Din was arrested by Saudi police at International Airport while he was trying to flee the Country.
    While the family demanded stern punishment to Siraj Din and other accused, they urged authorities to bring the body of Jafar back home.
    We request external affairs minister, Sj Shankar, to intervene the matter and help in bringing the body of the Indian National to his native village in Poonch. (GNS Kashmir News Gathering)

    Poonch GNS:-A meeing of all Jammu and Kashmir Rahbar-e-taleem teachers Forum Poonch was held at Prade Park Poonch under the chairmanship of Sr Vice President Altaf Ahmed Chowhan and Gen Sec. *Javeer Pathan* regarding the delay of conversion of Undergraduate RRETs into the Teacher Grade-II . It is pertitent to mentioned here that with the delay of process of conversion of undergraduate SSA RRETs into Teacher Grade -II they are without salary from last six months but the state Govt despite constitution of commitee are still waiting for its report which is to be submitted by the concerned committee owing this all the undergradute RRETs are mentally depressed as their other colleauges graduate RRETs are getting salaries as per 7th Pay on regular basis w.e.f 01-09-2018 to till date . Speaking on the ocassion * *Mohd Yousaf Shah Zonal President JKRRET Zone Surankote* an active member of JKRTTF District Poonch appeal to the State Govt to issue the much awaited circular /Order in favour of undergraute RRETs for thier conversion as Teachers Grade -II so that they will get all benefits at par with thier other colleages in order to get ridd off from this mental trauma and will get their wages salaries on monthly basis to survive in the living society .Sayed Muhammad Yousaf Shah lambasted against the state Govt for delaying tactice for redressing the genuine demands of RRET cadre and warned the sate Govt to do the needful in favour of these RRET within ten days failing which they will lodge a strong protest in front of CEO Office Poonch .
    *Javeer Pathan* Gen Sec JKRTTF Poonch appeal to the worthy CEO Poonch for providing second teachers to those Primary Schools where single teacher are posted and also provide atleast five teachers in a Middle Schools . He highligt the issue of One Teacher Mr Yasir Mir in Zone Sathra as he is only teacher posted and working in a Middle School as two other teachers of the said schools got himself attached in some where else and it is unfortunate the teacher who make the said school funtional have been suspended by the higher authorties . *Mr Niyaz Kirmani* ZP Sathra also appeal to the deptt to look into the matter of said Middle School in Zone Sathra where only one teacher is working and it is quite dificult for a teacher to run a Middle School He also appeal to the education deptt. to speed up the process of regularization of ReT as Gen Line Teachers which is pending since long . *Mr Altaf Chowhan* Sr. Vice President JKRTTF Poonch appeal to the Worthy DDC Poonch to release the additional salary of all the employees of this District who have performed the panchayat and muncipal election 2018 as all the bills are passed by the treasury but the amount is not creditted into the accounts of employees yet as all other district have already released the additional salary in favour of thier employees who have perfomed panchayat / muncipal election 2018 across the state.

    Udhampur: Meri Mitra Mandali organized a magnanimous Prize Distribution Function for the Dogri poetry Recitation Programme under the title ,” Bholiya Shakla’n Mithe Bol’ in the premises of Govt. PG College Udhampur.

    The programme started well of with the lightening of the ceremonial lamp closely followed by recital of ‘Mandali Geet’ enchanting the present audience.
    President Meri Mitra Mandali  Surjit Hosh Badsali in his address heartily welcomed all the esteemed guests and made them aware about the different facets of Meri Mitra Mandali , its work procedure and in this he took time to appreciate the dedication of Mandalians who together work to make Mandali do miracles and become a different organization serving the mother tongue Dogri. Talking about ‘Bholiya Shakla’n Mithe Bol-1’ he appreciated all the participants as well as winners. He spoke that the success of this small step has proved that children only need a bit of encouragement as they are capable enough to revolutionize any sector. He emphasized that to bring revolution this sect of society needs to be be mobilized and it can do wonders . Arvind Brahmnu ,in-charge of ‘Bholiya’n Shakla’n Mithe Bol-1’ cleared that the programme was only for children upto the age of 14 years and a total of 87 participated. After the humongous success of this program this has been unanimously decided by the executive of Mandali that it will be made a regular activity .
    The young Chief Guest Mr. Rakesh Kumar ( a child artist) in his address expressed his astonishment on being chosen as Chief Guest. He appreciated the move of Mandali to think out of the box and give recognition to the child artists. Feeling overwhelmed by the move he expressed his gratitude claiming that he too had never expected in his wildest dream that his talent will be recognized and appreciated at such a young age and he would get such a huge platform. The program moved ahead with the felicitation ceremony where the winner Danish Tuli was awarded First, kaamna Kumari second and Mishti Bral with third prize. Also Adamya Sharma Abhinav Brahmnu, Anuj Thakur, Drishav Prajjwal Sharma bagged consolation prizes. All the 87 participants of ‘Bholiya’n Shakla’n Mithe Bol-1’ were also awarded with a gift and the children also recited dogri poems.

    At the culmination of the event Vice- President Mr Neeraj Sharma accorded vite of thanks while the stage was cordially hosted by Pankaj Saraswat and Keerti Thakur. All the participants of ‘Bholiya’n Shakla’n Mithe Bol-1’ also participated in an interactive session where they got a chance to meet and familiarized themselves and also shared contacts for future correspondence after lunch.
