KARGIL APRIL 01, 2019:- Deputy Commissioner Baseer ul Haq Choudhary launched Swachhta Pakhwada cleanliness campaign at the premises of District Hospital Kargil here today.
Medical Superintendent Kargil Dr Kacho Sikander Ali Khan, doctors, district officers, paramedical staff, students of AMT Nursing School Kargil and other people were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Commissioner while underlining the importance of Swachhta Pakhwada urged the hospital staff to play a proactive role in keeping different sections of District Hospital Kargil as well as the hospital premises neat and clean.
The Deputy Commissioner sought cooperation of all doctors, paramedical staff and students of AMT School to participate wholeheartedly in the cleanliness campaign in order to make it an exemplary event and a grand success.
The DC also urged the common masses to participate in the Swachhta Pakhwada and sought their cooperation in making Kargil a cleaner district. He also stressed for making surroundings and buildings clean and green by adopting innovative measures.
The DC said that cleanliness and sanitation should not be confined to the fortnight only but the need of the hour is that people seriously adopt cleanliness and sanitation as an integral part of their lives on a sustained basis so that they may remain healthy and happy.
Meanwhile, the DC also administered Swachhta Pledge to all participants and other people present on the occasion and took brief of various activities to be conducted during this Pakhwara besides initiating cleanliness drive in the hospital premises
