    Notorious criminal detained under Public Safety Act in Rajouri_

    Rajouri,March 22:–Authorities have detained a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act for his involvement in multiple theft cases as well as narcotic smuggling.

    A dossier of his detention was prepared by District Police Office Rajouri and submitted to District Magistrate who ordered his detention under public safety and a team from Police Station Rajouri implemented the detention order.

    Accused identified as Haroon Rashid son of Abdul Rashid resident of Ward Number 02 Rajouri has been lodged in Kot Bhalwal jail Jammu.

    The said accused was involved in many criminal cases and stands booked in a number of cases including FIR 286/2013 U/S 379 RPC, 602/2014 U/S 379 RPC, 330/2014 U/Ss 457, 380 RPC, 561/2014 U/S 379 RPC, 529/2015 U/Ss 457, 380 RPC and 721/2018 U/S 8/21/29/60 NDPS Act of Police Station Rajouri.
    People of Rajouri town have appreciated the move of District Police against such criminals which have posed a threat to the security of society in the town.

    Senior Superintendent of Police, Yougal Manhas said that Jammu and Kashmir police is taking strict action against all those involved in unlawful activities.

    He said that activities of some more persons is under surveillance and action against them for their unlawful activities is on cards.

    Rajouri,March,22: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad , chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers to review progress under district capex budget 2018-19 and major projects here today.

    The meeting was attended by CPO Rajouri,ACD Rajouri,DTO Rajouri,DPO,EXN PHE,PWD,REW,PDD,all treasury officers .

    During the meeting, the DDC reviewed physical and financial achievements in detail being made by Education, PWD, PHE, PDD, RDD and other departments under district plan and state and centrally sponsored schemes besides reviewing the progress of languishing projects of PHE,PWD,I&FC,Education department.

    The progress on construction of bunkers was also reviewed .

    DDC directed all the departments to complete ongoing projects besides ensuring 100 % achievement under district plan, state plan and other centrally sponsored schemes.

    He directed the officers to finish any pending works to attain 100% results.

    EXN PWD was directed to ensure completion of roads, schools, Health and other department buildings under various schemes. All the EXNs were directed to closely monitor the ongoing road and other projects for ensuring quality and completion of work.

    DDC directed to submit the report regarding excess and Surender within two days.

    Meanwhile DDC also reviewed the status of AMF at each polling stations from the designated department for construction of ramps ,toilets , provisions of drinking water and electricity.
