20 bovines rescued by police in Nowshera sub division

RAJOURI MAY 20:–Jammu and Kashmir police in Nowshera sub division of Rajouri foiled multiple bovine smuggling bids rescuing twenty animals from the clutches of smugglers.

In an official statement, Rajouri police said that in the early morning hours on Friday, a vehicle tata mobile JK11D 3056 driven by Zakir Hussain son of Mohd Ashiq resident of Chingus tehsil Rajouri with two other person travelling in it was intercepted and found loaded with four bovine animals which were rescued.

Another police team intercepted a vehicle in the wee morning hours of Friday
at Qila Darhal.
The vehicle JK11B 9420 coming from Kass link road was found loaded with nine bovine animals which were rescued but smuggler Zafar Javid son of Mir.Hussain resident of Behrote Thanamandi manages to run away from the spot whose manhunt has been launched.

In another action, police team recently had intercepted a vehicle JK02AK 6181 which was found loaded with 07 bovine animals and was plying towards Rajouri side from Tanda mala Behrote area.

The vehicle was intercepted at khui dheri in Siot soon after it hit a pedestrian leaving him injured.

The vehicle was seized at the spot while animals were rescued and manhunt to nab the accused driver has been launched.

Police said that cognizance in all three cases has been taken.
