19 months- Rajouri witnessed 6 suspicious explosions incidents, no culprit nabbed yet.

RAJOURI, APRIL 20:–Since September 2020, six suspicious explosions -including one that occurred on Tuesday in the vicinity of the Kotranka town in which a coup le had a narrow escape– one grenade blast in the house of BJP leader in Rajouri town, and three incidents of planting of IEDs on the highway/link roads have been reported from across the Rajouri district.
But the District Rajouri police have yet not cracked any of the incidents as its intelligence grid has failed to identify/trace the culprits involved in these incidents.
Mohd Aslam, SSP Rajouri along with a team of senior police officers and senior officers of the RR unit based in the area, on Wednesday visited the spot where a powerful explosion had taken place at about 8.50 pm outside the ‘Zhugi’ of a couple, resident of Uttar Pradesh.
The injured have been identified as Vinod Kumar s/o Raj Kumar and his wife Kranti Devi r/o Uttar Pardesh and are working as labourers in the area.
According to local reporters, SSP refused to comment on the suspicious explosion. However, he said the police are on the job and the cause of the explosion is being ascertained.
On April 16, the Rajouri police recovered and defused an IED planted on the Rajouri-Chawa link road (in the vicinity of Rajouri town).
On March 26 two successive explosions were triggered by the Anti National Elements (ANEs), well trained in making IEDs/explosive devices from local material, in the same town (Kotranka, PS Kotranka).
In the month of August in 2021 at about 9.30 pm a possible grenade blast had taken place in the house of one Jasbir Singh (BJP leader) in the ward No. 5 in Rajouri town (PS Rajouri) in which his minor nephew was killed and 8 family members were injured.
On the intervening night of June 5 & 6 in 2021 in a suspicious explosion outside the house Sushma Kumari, Sarpanch of Androl-Chakli (PS Rajouri), and her family had a narrow escape.
In the month of January 2021, a suspicious explosion had taken place outside the boundary wall of Kali Mata temple in the Maira village (PS Rajouri).
In the month of September 2020, a powerful explosive device was thrown inside the residential complex of the brothers of a serving SSP in the same village (Maira) and the families had also a narrow escape besides losses to parked cars, bikes etc.
Some anti-national elements are active in the Rajouri district and making every effort to disturb peace in the district.
The district police under the proficient supervision of SSP, Mohd Aslam and with the help of other security agencies, including central, should take immediate action against such elements before they could succeed in causing big loss.
