RAJOURI MAY 31:–Acting against bovine smuggling, Rajouri police have reached eighteen animals foiling bovine smuggling bids in Kalakote area of district.
Police said that teams led by SHO Kalakote Deepak Pathania alongwith PSI Amit Radhay and HC Rajesh Sharma laid a naka and attempted to intercept a bovine smuggling movement on foot.
The bovine smugglers although managed to escape from the spot avoiding arrest but team successfully rescued eighteen bovines.
Cognizance under relevant sections of law has been taken.
