17 years old Seminary student from Reasi District drowns in the river in Rajouri district

RAJOURI, MAY 19:—A seventeen-year-old student from Reasi district and presently was enrolled in a Madrassa (seminary) in Rajouri district died due to drowning at about 10.30 am in a river near the Kanthol village of the Kotranka sub-district.
Mohd Mehboob, Sarpanch informed that the deceased Talib Hussian son of Mohd Yousaf resident of Mahor, a student in a Mdrassa at Trimili Kanthol, along with his 3-4 colleagues went to the river to take a bath about 2 km from the Madrassa.
“While taking a bath, Talib Hussain entered deeper waters and couldn’t come out. His colleague tried their best to save him, but without any success. They rushed to Madrassa and informed the teacher & others who rushed to the spot” said Mohd Mehboob.
Later the body was fished out by the villagers who also informed the police at Budhal.
An ambulance also rushed to the spot from the nearest health facility under the Dharamshal police station of Rajouri district.
After medico-legal formalities and post-mortem, the body was handed over to Madarassa management for further handing over to the family.
The police have started further investigation into this matter.
