UDHAMPUR MAY 22:–Police in Udhampur under the overall supervision of SSP Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS, arrested one Bovine smuggler, seized 02 vehicles and rescued 08 Bovines which were being smuggled without any permission.
Police team led by SHO PS Chenani Insp. Om Parkash under the supervision of SDPO Chenani Ahmed Shaafi seized 01 vehicle bearing no. JK14F 2945 carrying bovines without any valid permission from which 04 bovines were rescued and bovine smuggler namely Fareed Ahmed S/O Siraj Din R/O Sudhmahadev got arrested.
In this regard, FIR Nos. 82/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Chenani and further investigation is going on.
In another incident, during the wee hours, Police party of Police Station Majalta led by Insp. Sohan Singh Bandral under the supervision of Dr. Bhishm Dubey SDPO Ramnagar intercepted one load carrier bearing registration no. PB10HR 7834 and rescued 04 Bovines at Battal Naka which were being illegally smuggled towards valley without any valid permission and the said vehicle got seized.
In this regard, Case under relevant section of law stands registered registered in Police Station Majalta and further investigation of the case is underway.
